A Safe Place to Start Again

Supporting Transitional Housing with Purpose and Compassion

Michael’s Heart is a nonprofit organization based in Houston, Texas, dedicated to supporting transitional housing programs that help men rebuild their lives after incarceration, addiction, or homelessness. We work alongside community partners to provide safe, stable environments where individuals can grow, heal, and prepare for independent living.

Our mission is to strengthen the network of support surrounding transitional housing—through funding, advocacy, resources, and outreach—ensuring that every person has access to a second chance and a solid foundation for a brighter future.

Whether you're a service provider, donor, volunteer, or someone in need of hope—Michael’s Heart is here to help.

Our Programs

Employment Support

Residents receive help with job searches, résumé writing, interview prep, and transportation to work. We partner with local employers who support second chances.

Mental Health Transportation

We provide rides to therapy, doctor appointments, and mental health services to ensure residents stay connected to essential care.

Intake Process

We accept referrals from probation officers, caseworkers, or family. Once accepted, residents begin orientation and receive a welcome packet outlining rules, expectations, and support options.
